BOARD OF SPOKESPERSONS
The Board of Spokespersons is composed of the Bureau and one spokesperson for each parliamentary group, who shall have a vote in proportion with the number of members of his/her political party. The Board shall be responsible for:
- The preparation of the official list of Committees to be approved first by the Executive Council and subsequently by the Plenary Assembly of Congress.
- The exemption of requirements concerning Committee referral and prior publication, upon the approval of the three-fifths of Members of Congress. In case of bills referred by the Executive Branch with urgent status, these exemptions shall be passed by the majority of the legal number of Members of Congress.
- Calendar extension and priority determination in the debate, with the affirmative vote of the majority of the legal number of Members of Congress.
- Other powers set forth in the Standing Rules.
