POLITICAL CONSTITUTION OF PERU

The Political Constitution of Peru, also known as “Supreme Charter”, is the fundamental law of the country, and the basis of its legislation and basic rights. Likewise, it determines the structure and organization of Peruvian Government.  

The current Political Constitution of Peru was promulgated in 1993. Every Peruvian statute and regulation stems from its constitutional principles. The Constitution provisions prevail over any other law, and they have binding force for all Peruvians.

STANDING RULES OF THE CONGRESS OF THE REPUBLIC OF PERU

The Standing Rules of the Congress of the Republic of Peru have the force of law, and determine the functions of the Congress as a whole, and the Permanent Assembly, as well as determines the organization and operation of the institution, setting up the rights and duties of the Representatives and regulating parliamentary procedures.
