OBJECTIVE:

Facilitate the citizens’ free and guided access to the main parliamentary buildings of the Legislative Palace, teaching them its history, and describing the organization, functions, and importance of the Congress in the Peruvian democratic system.

DESCRIPTION AND CONTENTS:

The Guided Tours Program starts at the entry gate on Andahuaylas St. A group of visitors is led to the Jose Faustino Sanchez Carrion square, and then taken to the following halls: the Javier de Luna Pizarro Hall, the Lost Steps Hall, the Session Hall, the Raul Porras Barrenechea Conference Hall, and the visit finishes at the Unknown Soldier Crypt.
The tours are available for the general public from Mondays to Saturdays, except on Tuesdays and Thursdays, when they are restricted to people older than 15 years of age. The complete tour takes about an hour, and the guides can provide the service in English, if requested.
If the service is requested in due advance, the tour on Saturday is completed with a briefing session on the operation of the Congress. The visitors are not entitled to have interviews with Members.

REQUIREMENTS AND ACCESS:

  • Fill in the form in: Visitas Guiadas
  • Groups must provide the following information: list of names, number of visitors, name of contact person, telephone and day and hour proposed for the visit.(Older than 13 years of age can visit on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays only).

Working Hours:

From Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:00. Saturday s from 9.00 to 1 pm.
